This role will lead and drive the regional Data Governance strategy, aligning local initiatives with the global vision and taking on the challenge of encouraging a cultural shift regarding the strategic importance of data across all levels of the organization.Cultivate a Data-First Culture: Develop awareness of the strategic value of data among business and technical partners, driving a “Data First” and “AI First” mentality throughout the organization and supporting cultural change initiatives. Multi-functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, regional COOs, solution lines partners, business analysts, data engineers, executive leadership, and global teams.Establish Data Governance Roles: Define and implement roles and responsibilities such as Data Owner, Data Steward, and Data Guide, ensuring these are clearly communicated and adopted in each country/region. Data Domains & Catalog Management: Identify and define key data domains and subdomains; own the implementation and maintenance of a unified and governed data catalog and business glossary across all countries in the region, ensuring accessibility and regular updates by business Data Owners.Policy & Procedure Development: Develop and maintain policies, standards, and procedures for data management throughout its lifecycle.Safeguard Data Privacy and Security: Develop, implement, and supervise policies and processes to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (such as GDPR, LGPD, etc.) and company security standards. Operational Data Governance: Be responsible for operational activities such as Master Data Management (MDM) to ensure unique and reliable data sources (e.g., a unique client table).Drive Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of with industry trends, recommend and adopt new technologies and methodologies, and mentor team members to develop a culture of innovation, learning, and guidelines in data management and governance.How This Opportunity Is DifferentTake advantage of the opportunity to be part of an integrated team, having contact with different internal, multicultural teams and various learning and development possibilities!Skills And Experience That Will Lead To SuccessBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred (not mandatory).Extensive experience in data management and governance roles, including time spent in a leadership position.Solid understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, tools and guidelines.Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work optimally with multi-functional and multicultural teams.Advanced English proficiency and Spanish (mandatory).
