Reporting into the Senior Data & Insights Director, this role will lead the design and delivery of data-driven research and intelligence projects, shaping how data is used to inform strategy across creative, media, and client services. We're looking for someone with commercial acumen, and storytelling flair, and who thrives on turning data into actionable direction.The successful candidate will take ownership of end-to-end research proposals, from scoping methodologies to delivering impactful insights and recommendations that drive client growth and innovation. You'll act as the bridge between data, creativity, and marketing strategy, guiding both clients and internal teams in leveraging insights for measurable results.Working across UK, EMEA, and US markets, you'll deliver research and insights that reflect local nuance while maintaining a global strategic view. You'll help clients in different regions understand their audiences, categories, and cultures, turning data into stories that resonate. This is a client-facing position suited to someone who combines analytical depth and great personal skills to build rapport with internal teams and clients.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development of research proposals from scoping through to delivery, defining clear methodologies, deliverables, and timelines across qualitative and quantitative studiesOwn all BAU insights research to support internal teams, new business opportunities, and ongoing client servicing, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across recurring workstreamsOwn client relationships for insights projects, ensuring outputs meet business objectives and communicate a strong point of viewDesign and manage bespoke studies across audience, category, cultural, and creative intelligence, using mixed methods such as social/search listening, surveys, panels, and desk researchDeliver paid research studies, including audience research, market research, and relevant industry products and insightsCollaborate with Account Directors on theatre productions and venue campaigns, providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to enhance sales and ticketing performance for our clients, helping build our credibility in the spaceEnsure internal teams are regularly updated with industry insights, staying informed on trends and best practices to strengthen campaign strategies and client partnershipsBuild tools to empower teams to leverage insights for ongoing client servicing, ensuring insights are accessible, actionable, and embedded in daily decision-makingLead data partnership relationships (e.g., GWI, Pulsar, YouGov, Brandwatch), ensuring we maximise their value, integrate effectively into workflows, and stay ahead of product developmentsBuild frameworks and templates to streamline insights products and services, ensuring high-quality, consistent outputs that drive time efficiencies and repeatable excellenceChampion the use of data across the business, educating teams on how to apply insights effectively in campaign planning, creative development, and optimisationCollaborate with Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic teams to connect performance data with audience and behavioural insights, ensuring that marketing decisions are grounded in evidenceUse storytelling with data to communicate valuable insights clearly and persuasively within detailed market research reports and client deliverablesTranslate insights into actionable recommendations that influence strategy, creative messaging, and media investment decisionsDevelop and evolve dashboards, models, and reusable assets to make insight generation more efficient and repeatable across clients and pitchesMentor junior team members, guiding research design and data storytellingStay ahead of data, technology, and privacy trends, continuously assessing new tools, techniques, and platforms to enhance analytical capabilitiesIdentify and shape opportunities to turn bespoke research into scalable, fee-earning data products or client solutionsRequirementsWe're looking for someone who combines curiosity and rigour, and who can see both the story in the data and the opportunity behind it.You'll be equally comfortable building a research methodology, interrogating datasets, and presenting insights to senior internal and external stakeholders with clarity and conviction.Essential Skills & Experience3-5 years' experience in a research, data, or insights role within an agency, consultancy, or brand-side environmentProven experience in designing, managing, and delivering end-to-end research projects, including scoping, analysis, and client presentationStrong understanding of digital marketing performance data, particularly in Paid Search and Paid Social, and how it can be integrated into audience and market insightsDemonstrable expertise in qualitative and quantitative methods: surveys, panels, social/search listening, and consumer trendsExperience translating complex data into actionable strategies and creative implicationsAdvanced Excel/Sheets skills (pivots, arrays, regex, data cleaning) and familiarity with SQL or Python for data manipulationExperience with social and search intelligence platforms such as Pulsar, Brandwatch, Glimpse, BuzzSumo, GWI, or YouGovExcellent storytelling and visualisation skills, creating compelling decks and narratives tailored to C-suite and marketing audiencesStrong project management and organisational discipline, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlinesDesirable Skills & ExperienceExperience building or maintaining dashboards in Looker Studio or equivalent toolsFamiliarity with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery for data extraction and analysisKnowledge of NLP techniques for clustering and sentiment analysisExperience leading or mentoring junior analystsTechnology ProficienciesMicrosoft Excel / Google SheetsLooker Studio (or equivalent BI tools)Social and search intelligence tools (Pulsar,
