This position drives AIMCo’s core data initiatives by developing governance strategies that deliver high-quality, reliable data to end users. The analyst will collaborate with investment and operational teams to enhance data quality, improve metadata documentation, and support ongoing data governance success across the enterprise.Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain strong relationships with senior data owners, becoming a subject matter expert across data domains.Partner with investment teams and business units to define current and future data requirements.Serve as a liaison between data owners and the data management team to deliver data quality solutions, including root cause analysis, measurement, and continuous improvement.Analyze and document business processes, data flows, and metadata for applications and datasets.Enhance and maintain the enterprise data catalog to ensure accurate and complete metadata for data users.Partner with stakeholders to implement data quality rules and monitor compliance.Identify and communicate risks, issues, and implications of data inconsistencies or governance gaps.Translate complex investment data concepts into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in data governance, data quality, and enterprise data management practices.Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in investment data governance and analytics.Required Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred).Strong understanding of investment data types, instruments, and concepts (Private Data, Performance, Fixed Income, Compliance).Minimum 5 years of experience in Asset Management.Proven track record as a Data Business Analyst in a large enterprise or financial institution.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.Ability to work independently and within Agile teams.Demonstrated experience with data governance frameworks and data quality initiatives.Nice-to-Have Experience:Familiarity with Enterprise Data Catalogs such as Atlan or Collibra.Hands-on experience with Enterprise Data Quality platforms.Exposure to Databricks, Microsoft Power BI, or Microsoft Azure.Working knowledge of BlackRock Aladdin or SimCorp Dimension.Industry certifications such as CFA, CAIA, FRM, or CDMP.Required Skills:Data Governance & Quality ManagementBusiness Process AnalysisInvestment Data ManagementPreferred Skills:Metadata ManagementEnterprise Data Catalog ToolsCloud Data Platforms (Azure, Databricks)BI Reporting Tools (Power BI)Communication & Stakeholder ManagementAdditional Skills from Original Description:Agile MethodologyEnterprise Data DocumentationInvestment Performance and Compliance AnalysisRoot Cause and Data Quality MeasurementAbout GTT:GTT is a minority-owned staffing firm and a subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, a Native American-owned company in Alaska.
