Data Modular Engineer / Consultant

Job Title: Data Modular Engineer / ConsultantDepartment: Data Center Engineering & Infrastructure, Location: Dubai or Abu Dhabi, UAE. Employment Type: 3 months contract (possibility of Extension) Role SummaryThe Data Modular Engineer / Consultant will be responsible for the design, technical integration, and execution of modular data center projects across the UAE. The role requires both engineering expertise and project delivery capability — ensuring that modular systems meet the performance, compliance, and certification requirements (including Tier III and Tier IV standards where applicable). This role combines data center infrastructure design, power and cooling systems integration, and digital monitoring solution implementation using DCIM and AI-based automation. Key Responsibilities·        Lead and manage data modular design and build projects from concept to commissioning. ·        Design and configure modular data center architectures — including power, cooling, containment, and rack systems. ·        Ensure Uptime Tier compliance and adherence to UAE regulatory and sustainability standards. ·        Implement AI-enabled monitoring and management systems (DCIM, BMS, and O&M modules) to optimize infrastructure performance. ·        Collaborate with civil, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless modular system deployment.·        Oversee installation of UPS systems, PDUs, CRAC/CRAH units, fire suppression, and access control systems.·        Conduct technical due diligence, energy performance analysis, and capacity planning for modular facilities.·        Manage relationships with suppliers, principal vendors, and contractors for equipment sourcing and quality assurance.·        Support automation and preventive maintenance processes for high-availability infrastructure.·        Prepare technical documentation, design drawings, and compliance reports for client presentations and authority approvals. Qualifications and Skills·        Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or IT Infrastructure Engineering. ·        4–8 years of experience in data center or modular infrastructure engineering (preferably within UAE or GCC).·        Strong understanding of data center Tier standards and Uptime Institute certifications.·        Practical knowledge of HVAC systems, UPS architecture, power distribution, and fire suppression.·        Familiarity with DCIM, automation systems, and AI-integrated monitoring tools.·        Experience working with vendors such as Schneider Electric, Huawei FusionModule, or Vertiv solutions.·        Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage complex technical projects.·        Excellent communication, client-facing, and documentation skills.·        Certification in Data Center Design (CDCP/CDCS/CDCE) is preferred.
