Do you want to ensure that the data powering our solutions is trusted, secure, and future-proof?Here Is What The Job EntailsAs our new Data Platform Architect, you will be the technical cornerstone of Kamstrup’s cloud-based data platform. You will define architecture principles, design scalable and secure data flows, and set the standards for how we build and operate data-driven solutions. Your role is to ensure that the platform delivers trusted analytics and advanced insights across business areas such as Supply Chain, Finance, Sales Excellence, and Operations.More specifically, you will be:Owning the technical architecture of Kamstrup’s enterprise data platformDesigning and maintaining the reference architecture for our cloud-based data ecosystem (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform)Ensuring end-to-end data excellence across ingestion, transformation, modeling, and delivery (semantic models, APIs, BI, AI)Driving data governance, including metadata management, data quality, security, and complianceCollaborating with stakeholders across business, IT, and Digital Solutions to align technical and business needsEnsuring cost-efficient, reliable, and scalable operation of the data platform, applying FinOps and best-in-class DevOps practicesIn this role, you will have the freedom to evaluate and select technologies, conduct proofs of concept, and keep Kamstrup at the forefront of modern data architecture. This is a unique opportunity to provide technical leadership and mentoring for Data Engineers and other specialists across projects. You see patterns in complexity, simplify them into elegant designs, and bring them to life with high standards and practical execution. To achieve this, we imagine that you have a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, Platform Lead, or similar - preferably in enterprise or consultancy settings. You communicate clearly across both technical and non-technical audiences—balancing vision with pragmatism.In order to succeed, we imagine that you have:Proven experience designing and implementing modern cloud data platforms (Azure, Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake)Strong skills in SQL, Python, and Spark, including data pipeline optimization and performance tuningSolid understanding of governance, security, and compliance frameworks (Purview, Entra ID, Key Vault, RBAC)Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep/Terraform), and automated testingProficiency in data modeling (dimensional, event-based, or data vault) and semantic layers for BI deliveryIt is considered an advantage if you are familiar with Microsoft Fabric or Databricks at scale, along with FinOps, cloud cost management, and data product or modern data mesh architecture.As we are an international organization it is important that you are fluent in English.Whilst you may not meet all the qualifications listed above, you could still be a good candidate for the position.
