Our personnel come from a range of backgrounds and life experiences.We're looking for a capable Data Product Developer with experience in Databricks, AzureDevOps (CI/CD), and Power BI to join our flagship data products team on a fixed term basis. This role offers exciting opportunities to work with a modern technology stack and our brand-new data warehouse. As a Developer, you will leverage your experience and skills to support the continued development of data products and be an active member of a high performing team delivering tools to help our kaimahi (staff) make a difference for tamariki, their whānau and communities.As a Data Product Developer, you will be part of our team of developers across the full lifecycle of data product development - we:Engage with users,Design,Build,Test,Deploy,and Support.Our job is to build what the business needs both now and, in the future - so you'll have plenty of opportunities to engage widely and use your skills to solve business problems.We're looking for a strong collegial and collaborative team player who will be part of our expanding data community, and wants to make a difference.Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bringWe're particularly interested in people with strengths in one or more of the following:An understanding of data ecosystems and how data flows through themUnderstanding of DevOps principles and the implementation of CI/CD practices, preferably with Azure DevOpsExperience with Databricks and data-focused languages - ideally SQL, M, DAX, and Python/PySparkSome experience with star schemas or other data model designsContinuous improvement mindsetCan be a team player, keeping work flowing and maintaining qualityAn understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices is important - in particular, knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples' cultures.Nōu te rourou | What's in it for youOranga Tamariki offer a step-based remuneration package, that offers progression annually for experience through tenure.
