COMPANY BACKGROUNDFenics Market Data (“FMD”) is the exclusive distributor of data for BGC Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:BGC) and its affiliates (“BGC Group Entities”), a leading global brokerage group of companies servicing the financial markets through many brands including, but not limited to: BGC, GFI, RP Martin, Continental Capital Markets, Amerex, Aurel BGC, Aurel, Sunrise, Remate, Radix, Trident, BGC Liquidez, Poten & Partners, Ginga and Perimeter Markets.The BGC Group offers customers access to more than 200 financial products within fixed income securities, interest rate swaps, foreign exchange, equities, equity derivatives, credit derivatives, commercial real estate, commodities, futures, and structured products. Fenics Market Data captures and curates observable, indicative, and Level 2 (Order/Trade) data across BGC and relevant products to create comprehensive data packages. BGC provides in-depth insight into the global OTC markets.The Fenics Market Data Operations group is responsible for operational initiatives, development and execution; data quality, data integrity and data distributions for our voice, hybrid and electronically traded brokering products.The group also provides support for business development, sales and strategic vendor engagements as well as primary ongoing product issues.JOB DESCRIPTIONThis role is within FMD Operations/Data Quality Assurance team (“DQA”) and is responsible for analysing and managing the quality of FMD data. This position is vital for ensuring adherence to client-service-level agreements (SLAs) and meeting data monitoring/reporting requirements. The role will represent APAC/EMEA/AMER and collaborate closely with the global DQA group, broking desks, pricing team, and quantitative developers. As a member of the FMD Operations/DQA team, the role will involve interaction with various stakeholders, including Operations, Technology, Market Data Assurance, Product Management, Business Development and Sales Teams globally to resolve market data quality issues.Principal Responsibilities:Working with the FMD support teams to meet all SLA related reporting, proactively addressing any data content challenges.Acting as a intermediary between the Client Services team and the Data Product/Strategy development teams to facilitate clear communication of client needs and expectations.Monitoring and analysing applications and systems related to DQA, operations, alerting and distribution. Identifying any potential issues or anomalies in data flow and work with technical teams to implement solutions.Define, test and Implement data monitoring tools tailored to various FMD data products, ensuring they meet operational requirements and enhance data quality oversight.Performing regular review on content issue reports and setting targets for improvement in data quality.Oversee the maintenance of historical data, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data uploading to internal databases.Documentation of the data validation process and update of client content specification.Systematic logging and reporting of content issues and data quality assurance.JOB REQUIREMENTS:2-5 years experience in finance and data quality or relevant experience preferred.Willingness to work during North America hours.Knowledge of financial products, OTC markets and trading room environment preferred, involved in operations, data management roles.Relevant degree in Information Management, Business Studies, Economics and Finance.Understanding of data quality monitoring tools, data feed API protocols and data distribution/contribution solutions would be beneficial.Familiarity with key financial information vendor systems and infrastructure / distribution systems. e.g. LSEG, Bloomberg etc.Detail orientated and proficient with intermediate, excellent communication skills.Ability to work and function under pressure, handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities.Database skills (Analytics / SQL / KDB) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
