For this position, we are looking for a person support the development of our Data Platform and contribute to its success.Position DetailsPosition Responsibilities Contribute to development and growth of the Payment Data Science Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and deliver value together Formulate and propose novel solutions to existing business challenges in a pro-active way Communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders Promote a knowledge sharing and learning cultureWork EnvironmentThe Data Services Group operates as a long-lived organization with a clear scope and ownership of a part of the system. It is divided into two teams, focused on Data Platform support and Data Science related research. The team consists of both new-graduate and mid-career members, coming from both industry and academia backgrounds. The team uses a combination of private and public clouds (Azure, considering GCP) Internal data dashboards, utilized across the company including being on display in the office, utilize Grafana and Influx DB Data Pipelines are based on in order to extract data from SQL-based originsMandatory Qualifications Previous experience as a data science or equivalent Experience with Public Cloud (preferably Azure and/or GCP) Communication and collaboration skills, ability to work well in a team Excitement to work in a multicultural, international working environment Ability to extract, combine and analyze complex datasets using SQLDesired Qualifications Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization Ability to distill complex data and findings into clear, presentable reports Ability to effectively communicate with non-technical as well as technical audiences Experience with visual design for the presentation of data Experience in other technical roles such as software engineer, data analyst, data engineer, data scientist Experience developing software using modern languages and practices Interest in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and/or similar areasOther InformationAdditional information on LocationNBF Shinagawa TowerAdditional Information On SecondmentThis position will be hired by Rakuten Group, Inc. and seconded to Rakuten Payment, Inc.#engineer #datascientist #fintechgroup #RakutenPay #RakutenPaymentLanguagesEnglish (Overall - 3 - Advanced)
