We combine structured methodologies with hands-on delivery to unlock the full value of healthcare quality data.Your RoleAs Data Science Consultant Statista Healthcare, you will join our international team of data professionals, supporting the analytical backbone of Statista’s healthcare activities.Your work will focus on the collection, processing, and analysis of healthcare data that power our Rankings, Ratings, and Benchmarking projects, as well as the development of new, data-driven products.In Benchmarking and custom quality development projects with healthcare providers and other stakeholders you will be part of an interdisciplinary project team that works directly with our clients.You will work hands-on with large and diverse datasets, transform raw data into clean, structured information, and contribute to the automation of our analytical workflows.In close collaboration with internal analysts, engineers, and project managers, you will ensure that our healthcare data infrastructure remains reliable, scalable, and ready for future integration into the Statista Healthcare Data Platform.Your work will directly support Statista’s mission to make healthcare quality measurable, comparable, and actionable - globally.ResponsibilitiesSupport in maintaining and further developing Statista’s ranking and rating databases, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and scalabilityImplement and optimize data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to automate data collection, transformation, and validation workflowsCollaborate on data pilots and benchmarking projects — from design and metric development to scoring and results analysis, interacting directly with our clients as part of an interdisciplinary Statista project teamIntegrate, clean, and standardize external datasets from hospitals, ministries, and partners for unified use in Statista’s healthcare productsDevelop and document data models and scoring frameworks in alignment with the Healthcare Analysis and IT teamsSupport the development of Statista’s Unified Health Database and future Healthcare Data PlatformPerform internal analyses and reporting to improve data quality and performance metrics of existing healthcare productsEnsure data validation and reproducibility, including peer review and internal QA checks.Actively contribute ideas for new data-driven healthcare products and improvement of existing workflowsYour profileMaster’s degree (or equivalent) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, or related field4+ years of experience in data analytics, modeling, or applied statistics, ideally within healthcare or another data-intensive fieldProven skills in Python and SQL, proven experience with data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar), including dashboard design and storytelling with dataExperience with ETL/ELT workflows, data wrangling, structured databases, and the conceptual design of data models and analytics solutions.
