In this role, you will help shape the foundation that enables our scientists to turn complex biological data into meaningful insight. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, data science, and machine learning engineering, building the infrastructure and tools that make high-quality research data accessible and actionable.This is a hands-on technical position for someone who enjoys solving problems, building systems, and connecting science with technology. You will not interpret the data yourself, but you will make it possible for others to do so, ensuring that Genmab’s research continues to advance efficiently and with scientific excellence.ResponsibilitiesData Infrastructure and IntegrationBuild and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for experimental, biological, and pharmacological data.Integrate data from multiple sources such as GeneData, LabVantage, CROs, and cloud platforms into unified analytical environments.Automate recurring workflows to ensure data quality, accessibility, and reproducibility.AI and Machine Learning Pipeline SupportCollaborate with data scientists to implement and operationalize AI and machine learning models into production-ready pipelines on cloud and HPC environments.Monitor and maintain deployed models to ensure performance, scalability, and traceability.E-Systems and AutomationDevelop scripts, APIs, and workflows to connect laboratory systems such as GeneData Biologics and LabVantage with central analytics environments.Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading to ensure seamless data flow across research systems.Data Management and FAIR PrinciplesContribute to metadata and data cataloging, for example using Unity Catalog, to improve findability, accessibility, and governance.Implement best practices to ensure that data remains reusable, transparent, and well-documented.Collaboration and SupportAct as the technical link between Discovery, IT, and Data Science teams.Translate scientific and technical needs into robust, scalable solutions.Provide responsive technical support to scientists to ensure data accessibility and workflow reliability.RequirementsMSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Biology, or a related field.Three to five years of relevant experience in data engineering or scientific data environments.Proficiency in Python and version control systems such as Git.Experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, ECS, Glue, and Step Functions.Strong understanding of data integration, workflow automation, and pipeline design.Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly to scientific and technical colleagues.Proactive problem solver who can adapt quickly to changing priorities.Based in the Netherlands, or in Denmark.Recruitment TimelineApplication deadline: November 3Shortlisting: Week of November 3Initial online screenings: Week of November 10Onsite interviews: Two rounds for the weeks of November 17 and 24About YouYou are genuinely passionate about our purposeYou bring precision and excellence to all that you doYou believe in our rooted-in-science approach to problem-solvingYou are a generous collaborator who can work in teams with a broad spectrum of backgroundsYou take pride in enabling the best work of others on the teamYou can grapple with the unknown and be innovativeYou have experience working in a fast-growing, dynamic company (or a strong desire to)You work hard and are not afraid to have a little fun while you do so!LocationsGenmab maximizes the efficiency of an agile working environment, when possible, for the betterment of employee work-life balance.
