This is a hands-on, operational role where you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyse commercial data, develop advanced analytics tools, and translate insights into strategic decisions.You will be the go-to expert for understanding our data landscape - identifying opportunities, addressing challenges, and helping shape the future of data science at Arla within the commercial space. Your key responsibilities will be toTranslate business objectives into data science problems and develop solutions that drive commercial valueDesign, optimise, and deploy advanced analytics models to support NRM strategiesContinuously improve existing models and develop new ones to meet evolving business needsVisualise insights using tools like Power BI and communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear, compelling wayConduct exploratory data analysis, test hypotheses, and uncover trends and patternsEnsure high-quality code, documentation, and scalable, stable solutionsFor this position, you can be located in any of our core markets – Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Finland, Germany or UK.What Will Make You SuccessfulWe are looking for an experienced Data Scientist who is not only technically skilled but also driven by curiosity and a passion for creating value. Besides this, we imagine that you bringA University degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, econometrics, mathematics, or data scienceAt least 2-5 years of hands-on experience after finalising university, where you have applied advanced analytics to real-world business problemsAn analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data from multiple sourcesProficiency in Python and SQLExperience working with large, complex datasets (e.g., Nielsen, SAP, retailer ePOS)Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)Advanced Excel skills and strong data visualization capabilities (PowerBI or similar)Preferably experience with DatabricksPlease note that for this position, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship or relocation support.What do we offer?We are committed to professional development and promoting from within.
