Data Scientist Jobs

One Federal Solution (OFS) is currently hiring a Data Scientist to provide technical support to a federal agency. In this role, the Data Scientist will design and apply machine learning models, conduct detailed statistical analysis, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions. The successful candidate will have expertise in data science methodologies and tools, and strong communication skills to support effective collaboration.

This position requires an active Secret clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement machine learning models, including those using large language models

Conduct statistical analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and verify insights

Work alongside data engineers to operationalize models into production environments

Partner with analysts and visualization teams to clearly present findings

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data availability and organizational needs

Required Qualifications:

Must hold an active Secret security clearance

Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline (Bootcamps or certifications will be considered in conjunction with applicable degrees)

A minimum of 3 years of experience working in data science or machine learning

Strong skills in machine learning techniques and statistical modeling (preferred: experience with sampling methods and LLMs)

Hands-on proficiency with SQL, Python, and other data-focused programming languages (Azure experience is a plus)

Proven problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
