STRATEGIC STAFFING SOLUTIONS (S3)Position: Data ScientistWork Set-Up: Hybrid-2x per week onsite.Location: Ayala, Makati CitySchedule: Morning/Mid ShiftJOB DESCRIPTION:Develop financial models and analytics that deliver novel analysis and insights, automating manual data cleansing activities, and leveraging advanced statistical methods to validate business questions and hypothesesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform text, quantitative, statistical, financial and operational analysis, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies that impact financial performance Design and implement data pipelines to automate the collection, cleaning, and processing of financial data from various sources Parse, cleanse and manipulate large amounts of structured and unstructured data for analysis; perform QA testing to ensure accurate results Collaborate with business to review data sources, data inconsistencies, and business logic for initiating data discovery Delve into complex data from systems to discover hidden relationships and relevant insightsQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics or a closely related field.3+ years of progressive experience in data science, advanced analytics or quantitative research.Demonstrated track record of developing and productionizing statistical and machine-learning models in an enterprise setting.Experience in Python or R and ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch), with practical exposure to generative AI/GenAI.Strong SQL skills; experience integrating with financial systems and ERPs (SAP, Oracle) via APIs.Preferred Experience:Familiarity with Azure services (Synapse, Databricks, ML Studio), Spark, and containerization (Docker).Experience integrating with financial systems and ERPs (SAP, Oracle), or other financial data sources.Expert at slicing/dicing financial and operational metrics to uncover trends and anomalies.Relevant certifications a plus (e.g. Azure Data Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer, Certified Analytics Professional, CFA Level I).
