TechPOS offers ongoing support, staff training, and product maintenance to help turn the retailers' mission into reality.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Data Scientist at TechPOS in Vancouver, BC. The Data Scientist will be responsible for tasks such as data analysis, generating business insights, and applying machine learning techniques to solve business problems and improve decision-making.QualificationsProficiency in Python, C#, JavaScript, or related programming languagesExperience with SQL, including writing and optimizing queries, and working with relational databases to retrieve and manipulate dataMachine Learning experience, including working with algorithms for classification, regression, and clustering, and familiarity with relevant libraries like scikit-learn or TensorFlowStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to generate business insights from dataAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentExcellent communication skillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related fieldOptional QualificationsExperience with React-Redux, including building and maintaining modern web applications using these technologiesExperience with REST API development, including designing and integrating APIs for seamless data exchange between systemsFull-stack development experience, with the ability to work on both front-end and back-end technologies to build complete web applicationsResidency StatusThe applicant must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident of Canada.
