Data Scientist – AI & Microsoft ServicesLocation: Brussels (Hybrid – 2 days onsite, 3 remote)Start: ASAP | Type: Freelance About the RoleWe’re looking for a hands-on Data Scientist / AI Engineer to design and deliver impactful AI applications using Microsoft AI Services, Generative AI, and Copilot. You’ll take on diverse business challenges: from building virtual assistants to automating internal workflows, and turn them into production-ready solutions that enhance customer experiences, empower employees, and optimise processes. This role is self-directed and innovation-focused. You’ll work with techniques such as Prompt Engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, speech-to-text, image generation & interpretation, and classical ML/statistical methods.

You’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams, communicate results directly to leadership, and contribute to reusable AI frameworks in an Agile environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement AI solutions using Microsoft AI ecosystem tools (Azure AI, Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, Copilot)Apply a mix of Generative AI and Predictive AI methods to real-world use casesBuild proof-of-concepts and evolve them into scalable, production-ready solutions in PythonShare insights with the team and help define AI best practicesPresent results and recommendations to senior stakeholdersWhat You BringStrong Python and AI/ML development skillsExperience deploying AI applications into productionKnowledge of Generative AI techniques, with the ability to quickly learn new onesProblem-solving mindset and ability to turn ideas into deliverablesClear communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesLanguages:
