Job DescriptionThe role is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, strategies and policies that ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance. This role works across departments to align data practices with business goals and regulatory requirements, helping to establish data as a trusted and strategic asset.ResponsibilitiesStrategy & AlignmentContributes to the development of the organization’s data strategy and roadmapCollaborates with business and IT stakeholders to align data initiatives with strategic objectivesParticipates in data governance councils and working groups Data Governance ImplementationSupports the rollout and maintenance of data governance policies, standards, and proceduresAssists in defining data ownership, stewardship, and accountability modelsMonitors compliance with data governance frameworks and escalate issues as needed Data Quality & StewardshipWorks with data stewards and custodians to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistencySupports data profiling, quality assessments, and remediation effortsHelps define and track data quality KPIs and metrics Risk & ComplianceEnsures data practices comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, local data privacy laws)Assists in data classification, access control, and data lifecycle management initiatives Communication & TrainingPromotes awareness of data governance principles and best practices across the organizationSupports training and onboarding efforts related to data governance roles and responsibilities QualificationsMust have bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Business Administration, or any related fieldMust have 3–5 years of experience in data strategy, data management, or related rolesMust have familiarity with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK), tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica), and data quality conceptsMust have strong understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance standardsMust have excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills Work Set-up: Hybrid (3x a week onsite, 2x a week work-from-home)Job DetailsRole Level: Mid-Level Work Type: Full-Time Country: Philippines City: Manila National Capital Region Company Website: https://www.bpi.com.ph/ Job Function: Data Science & AI Company Industry/Sector: BankingWhat We OfferAbout The CompanySearching, interviewing and hiring are all part of the professional life.
