Database Administrator

Skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain our database systems, with a strong emphasis on Oracle and Cassandra. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and a solid understanding of Linux-based environments. Familiarity with RabbitMQ for message brokering and integration is also required. This role involves ensuring database performance, availability, and security across multiple platforms. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Oracle and Cassandra database systems. Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for critical databases. Manage backup and recovery procedures. Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching. Design and implement database security policies. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application requirements. Automate database tasks using scripting (e.g., Bash, Python). Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues. Document database configurations, procedures, and standards. Integrate and manage RabbitMQ for reliable messaging between services and systems. On-call support 24X7. Required Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator. Proven expertise in Oracle and Cassandra database administration. Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Mysql, Shell script. Strong knowledge of Linux OS (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu). Experience with RabbitMQ or similar message brokers. Proficiency in database performance tuning and optimization. Familiarity with database monitoring tools and utilities. Experience with Oracle Data Guard and RAC environments. Experience with data replication, clustering, and Sharding. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Proficient in managing RDS instances within AWS environments. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
