Position: Director of Spa Location: Luxury Hospitality Environment Employment Type: Full-timeOverview: A luxury property is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Spa to lead and oversee all aspects of spa operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction, team performance, operational efficiency, and profitability. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, deep knowledge of spa services and wellness trends, and a proven ability to manage both people and performance in a dynamic hospitality setting. Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Guest ExperienceOversee the daily operations of the spa, ensuring exceptional service and a seamless guest experienceMaintain a consistent presence in the facility to monitor operations and service qualityHandle guest concerns with discretion and professionalism, always striving to exceed expectationsCollaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of services and eventsTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of therapists, estheticians, and support staffFoster a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented work environmentConduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluationsIdentify development opportunities to elevate service standards and staff expertiseFinancial OversightDevelop and manage the spa’s budget, track revenue, and control operational expensesMonitor financial performance and implement strategies to increase profitability without compromising service qualityDrive retail and service sales through effective promotions, upselling, and guest engagementMarketing & Guest EngagementCollaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns and seasonal offersPromote spa services and retail products to enhance the guest experience and boost revenueBuild relationships with loyal and repeat guests, actively seeking feedback for continuous improvementCompliance & StandardsEnsure compliance with all local and state health, safety, and regulatory requirementsMaintain staff certifications and licenses in accordance with legal standardsOversee the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of treatment rooms, locker rooms, and public spacesSpecial Events & Group CoordinationCoordinate and execute group spa bookings, corporate retreats, and special eventsEnsure seamless planning and delivery of group services, maintaining the highest level of guest satisfactionQualifications:

Education & Experience5+ years of leadership experience in spa or wellness management within the hospitality industryBachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)Strong knowledge of spa operations, therapies, and current wellness trendsExperience with budget management, financial reporting, inventory control, and vendor relationshipsSkills & CompetenciesExceptional leadership and team management abilitiesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving capabilitiesProficiency in financial analysis and strategic planningAbility to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situationsA genuine passion for wellness, luxury hospitality, and guest service excellencePhysical RequirementsAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidaysAble to stand for extended periods and assist with light physical tasksMust be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs as neededAdditional ExpectationsMaintain a polished and professional appearanceAttend required meetings and trainingsProvide exceptional customer service aligned with the core values of excellence, integrity, and teamworkMaintain confidentiality and act with discretion when handling guest or staff matters
