Job DescriptionJob Purpose :Quality Control Manager ensures the QC Inspectors team applies the Quality SOP & Standards to inbound and outbound deliveries Compliance to local (SASO/ SFDA/) and international quality and food safety standards.Key Accountabilities: Oversee the implementation of Quality Control (QC) standards and SOPs for inbound and outbound operations to ensure compliance with SASO, SFDA, and international food safety requirements. Manage the receiving inspection process for Fresh and FMCG products to verify conformity with agreed product specifications and ensure accurate acceptance or rejection decisions. Supervise the documentation and reporting of supplier and product conformance across all categories to maintain regulatory compliance and enable full product traceability. Coordinate and enforce food alert, recall, and destructive sampling procedures to mitigate potential food safety risks and safeguard product integrity within the Distribution Center. Lead the inspection and evaluation of near-expiry or deteriorating stock to align corrective actions with inventory, commercial, and supplier teams for effective product management. Conduct annual quality and hygiene audits within the Distribution Center to assess compliance with standards and drive corrective and preventive action plans. Develop and implement training programs for QC Inspectors and DC staff to enhance awareness, technical capability, and adherence to quality and hygiene procedures. Analyze and report quality performance metrics including supplier rejection rates and audit outcomes to identify improvement areas and support continuous operational excellence. Maintain and monitor documentation systems for all QC activities to ensure readiness for audits and compliance with internal and external regulatory standards. Support and coordinate pest control and hygiene programs within DC operations to sustain a safe and compliant working environment. SkillsQualification:Bachelor degree or Diploma in Microbiology, Agricultural Engineering, Biology.Experiences:3- 5 years of experience with (3) years’ experience in quality control management related position.Key Competencies: Job holder must be familiar with QA regulations set by Corporate QA Team. Possess sound knowledge & experience about Food Items – especially Produce, Meat, Bakery, Deli & Fishery. Possess good level of spoken & written English & Arabic language He should have basic knowledge in JDA and WMS. Technically know the banana ripening and other fruits ripening techniques. He should possess the knowledge about chemicals, sanitizers used at the warehouse level. Knowledge about the standards and testing procedure for the dry and produce item, especially produce item (Brix test and Firmness test).
