The VacancyWe have an exciting and unique opportunity for a Trainee Designer to join our award-winning Design team. As a Trainee Designer, you will be immersed in the fascinating world of Banknote design creation. You will learn how to create visually striking and technically precise products, following the process from initial concept through to design approval. As a trainee, we understand that you will not have the relevant skills and experience right away. To support you as you start in your new role, we will provide comprehensive training and development that will build up your knowledge and skills.

You will also collaborate with experienced designers and technical experts and gain hands-on experience to ensure that you have the tools to be successful. Key ResponsibilitiesWith support and guidance, build capabilities to deliver the following activities. Committed to learning the required Design creation software (e. g. Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator/Corel Draw) and undertaking any other training necessaryDevelop knowledge of design rules, print process, substrates and security features. This will involve site visits nationally. Undertake trainee level projects covering all of the disciplines required for Design creation and Origination.

Learn how to prepare presentation materials for Customers, both physical and digital. Undertake security briefing and develop knowledge of implications of breaches. Learn to deliver world class artwork which meet the need of the designer and are efficiently designed for manufacturing. Gain an understanding of the fundamental process & procedures of the design dept including all Security requirements. Learn how to produce vector artwork for Concept level Designs through to origination level. Ability to undertake other vector design projects e. g.
