Confidence that moves.As the Demand Planning Associate Manager for our Spine Division in Japan, you will be responsible for leading demand forecasting, supply coordination, and inventory control activities to ensure product availability and operational efficiency. This role requires a strategic mindset and hands-on experience with consignment inventory models. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Finance to support business growth and improve planning accuracy in a highly specialized medical device environment.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for spine products using historical data, market trends, and commercial input.Manage inventory across both warehouse and consigned channels, ensuring optimal stock levels.Align supply planning and procurement activities with demand forecasts to ensure timely product availability.Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecast accuracy and inventory turnover.Support new product launches and phase-outs through proactive planning and coordination.Lead S&OP processes and provide data-driven insights.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on business priorities and planning strategies.This is not an exhaustive list of duties or functions and may not necessarily comprise all of the "essential functions".Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities)Strong understanding of demand planning, supply chain operations, and inventory management principles.Proficiency in ERP and data analysis tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Excel).Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making across departments.Experience with consignment inventory models and their operational implications is a plus.Education/Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in demand planning, inventory control, or supply chain roles.fluency in both Japanese and English iTravel Requirements:NIL
