Key ResponsibilitiesConceptualization & Design ExecutionProduce high-quality visuals: Posters, Carousels, Infographics, flyers, Thumbnails, and Event Graphics. Translate political briefs and ideas into compelling and informative visual stories. Customize designs for varied campaign types and audience groups. Integrate Tamil motifs, typography, and cultural symbols as required. Visual Branding & ConsistencyDevelop and manage visual templates for recurring content series. Establish and ensure adherence to design style guides for fonts, color schemes, layout arrangements, iconography, watermarking, and campaign branding. Enforce consistency across all campaign creatives. Leadership & Quality AssuranceSupervise and mentor junior designers and interns, ensuring high daily output quality.
Review creatives for visual precision, brand consistency, and sensitivity. Coordinate closely with the Creative Director to manage team workflows and meet deadlines. Cross-Functional CollaborationClosely collaborate with copywriters, video editors, social media managers, and advertising teams. Participate in briefings to align graphics with campaign messaging. Integrate platform analytics and feedback to improve visual strategy. Platform-Specific OptimizationsOptimize and adapt graphics for: Instagram/Facebook: Carousels, quote graphics, regional language visualsYouTube: Thumbnails, banners, channel graphicsTwitter/X: Text visuals, topical cards, one-linersEnsure all creatives adhere to technical specifications and platform standards.
Political & Cultural SensitivityDesign materials reflecting the political landscape and cultural sentiments of Tamil Nadu. Respond rapidly to current events with on-brand visual communication. Maintain strict ethical standards in all campaign visuals. EducationRequired QualificationsBachelors or Masters in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or related fields. Experience46 years in a design or content creation role (preferably in political, campaign, media, or agency environments). Experience creating multi-platform content for Tamil-speaking audiences highly preferred. Required SkillsProficient in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Familiarity with InDesign and Canva. Experience with bilingual layouts, especially English and Tamil.
Skilled in Tamil typography and regional visual elements. Strong creative skills in visual storytelling, brand system development, quick ideation, and attention to detail. Proven leadership experience in supervising and mentoring design teams. Experience managing quality control and delegating tasks. Excellent collaboration abilities to work with writers, video editors, social media, and advertising teams. Additional SkillsCompetency in sound design. Ability to source and curate video footage.
