As part of our strategic expansion, we are seeking a Head of Software Development to lead our new engineering team in Pakistan. This role is pivotal in ensuring our distributed teams continue to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative software products.
The right candidate will not only lead technical execution but also play a key leadership role, bridging communication between product, engineering, and business stakeholders. You will be our single point of contact (SPOC) for the Pakistan software team and a hands-on technical leader who sets the bar for performance and collaboration. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the software engineering team in Pakistan, ensuring technical excellence, high delivery velocity, and alignment with business goals. Own end-to-end software delivery: architecture, development, deployment, and operations. Act as a hands-on mentor, actively contributing to codebases, solving complex technical issues, and guiding best practices.
Work closely with Product, DevOps, and internal stakeholders to define priorities, estimate timelines, and allocate resources efficiently. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, agile development, and high accountability. Lead initiatives related to performance tuning, scaling, and real-time data processing. Requirements 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams. Expert-level experience in modern backend development using . NET Core, C#, and distributed systems. Strong experience with real-time and high-performance systems using:
Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar MQ tools PostgreSQL, Redis/Dragonfly, Clickhouse, or TimescaleDB Kubernetes, Docker, and deployment pipelines (Jenkins, Octopus, ArgoCD) Comfortable with monitoring, observability tools like Grafana, Graylog, Zabbix. Familiarity with Vue. js, Node. js, and modern JavaScript for frontend integration. Strong grounding in software architecture, performance optimization, and data engineering. Excellent stakeholder management, estimation, and decision-making skills. Calm under pressure; able to manage both team dynamics and product-side expectations. High self-motivation; proactive in resolving issues and unblocking teams. Great communicator and team coach ā leads by example.
