A global multidisciplinary consultancy with 16,500+ professionals across 40+ countriesDelivering world-class infrastructure, buildings, and environmental solutionsBe a part of shaping our business and driving innovation initiatives.About SMEC:SMEC is a global engineering, management, and development consultancy delivering major infrastructure projects across transportation, water, energy, and urban development sectors.SMEC is part of the Surbana Jurong Group, a global consultancy with more than 16,000 professionals delivering complex infrastructure projects worldwide.SMEC invites Expressions of Interest from experienced professionals for the role of Depot Expert (Resident Engineer).Preference may be given to candidates with Japanese nationality, based on project coordination requirements.Role Overview:The Depot Expert will lead technical oversight of metro depot facilities and associated infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of depot works in accordance with project specifications, international rail standards, and operational requirements.Key Responsibilities:Lead supervision and technical review of metro depot facilities and infrastructure works.Coordinate depot design interfaces across rail systems, including rolling stock, traction power, signaling, and MEP.Monitor contractor performance and construction quality.Support construction supervision, including inspections and technical approvals.Ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.Assist with reporting, technical documentation, and stakeholder coordination.Requirements:Degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or related discipline.Typically, 20+ years of experience in rail or metro infrastructure projects.Strong experience with railway depot design, supervision, or operations.Experience working in large metro or railway projects.Experience in international consultancy environments preferred.Why Join SMEC?Join a global, multidisciplinary consultancy shaping sustainable, people-centric environments across 40+ countries.
