An opportunity has arisen within Ward B for a permanent Band 6 Deputy Charge Nurse.Ward B is an extremely busy acute medical ward, that comprises of 14 acute medical beds and 4 high dependency beds.The Deputy Charge Nurse post is an integral role within the Unit and is essential for providing support for both the staff and the Charge Nurse.This is an excellent development opportunity.In the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse, the Deputy Charge Nurse leads, manages, develops and has responsibility for the nursing team in order to deliver high standards of care with the appropriate skills, using available resources effectively.You must have robust clinical skills and knowledge, with experience in respiratory including use of NIV, cardiac and acute medicine.A commitment to life-long learning and teaching and an enthusiastic and innovative approach to service development.Evidence of professional development is essential with experience of similar roles highly desirable.You should be a certified ALS provider or committed to complete course.Informal Enquiries To: SCN - Isla Danson Tel: 01631 788952Email: isla.danson@nhs.scotWhat is it like to work for the Health and Social Care Partnership in Argyll and Bute?
