Deputy Chief Operations Officer

Our client, is an end-to-end transactional marketplace that radically simplifies the experience of buying, selling and renting real estate. They are looking for a Deputy COO to help scale and structure our Marketplace operations. Acting as a strategic partner to the COO, you will play a critical role in aligning operational priorities, driving execution, and coordinating cross-functional efforts. This is a hybrid role combining strategic thinking, operational rigor, and hands-on project ownership.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the operational organization of the Marketplace and strengthen team efficiencyStructure roadmaps with the COO and ensure their rollout on time and in line with defined objectivesLead cross-functional projects with significant operational or business impacCoordinate between the Marketplace and other Business Units to ensure a consistent and seamless customer journeyTranslate business needs into clear, actionable items for Product, Tech, Data, and Marketing teamsProduce performance analyses, identify optimization levers, and support strategic decision-makingQualifications:6–10 years of experience in top-tier consulting, scale-ups, or strategic/ops rolesBackground in marketplaces, proptech, fintech, or B2C/B2B2C scale-upsKnowledge of customer operations and cross-BU journey optimizationFamiliarity with the Moroccan or broader North African business landscapeHigh adaptability and appetite for fast-growth, execution-focused environmentsStrong analytical and structuring skills; proven ability to drive complex initiativesExperience managing cross-team projects in fast-paced or ambiguous environmentsExcellent communication skills; you can align stakeholders and move things forwardFluency with operational toolsFull working proficiency in French and English
