Gold & Aron Conseil is an executive search firm. We’re recruiting on behalf of our client, a growth-stage fintech in Colombia.Our client is a fintech undergoing a technology transformation and is looking for a Deputy CTO to work alongside the CTO and the CEO in leading a high-impact modernization and scale-up effort. This is a pivotal role for a technology leader with payments expertise, who thrives in complex, hands-on environments where strategic execution and technical precision intersect.The Deputy CTO will:Lead the modernization of core systems into secure, scalable, cloud-native architectures.Drive technology transformation initiatives: stabilizing legacy systems, reducing technical debt, and accelerating delivery speed.Implement robust engineering methodologies including Agile, CI/CD, and QA automation.Oversee end-to-end platform migration to the cloud, ensuring minimal operational disruption.Collaborate across product, compliance, and operations to ensure enterprise-grade reliability and compliance (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 8583, ISO 20022).Build and mentor high-performing engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, and QA teams across multiple geographies.Champion best practices in observability, incident management, and continuous improvement.Act as a visible technical leader in problem-solving, incident response, and executive planning.Ideal Profile10+ years of technology leadership experience in payments, banking, or financial infrastructure, many of which working on B2B.Proven success leading large-scale modernization and cloud migration programs.Deep technical understanding of payments systems, card processing, and banking APIs - ideally on the issuing side.Hands-on expertise with cloud native technologies, DevOps, security, and QA automation.Strategic operator with a hands-on approach to complex problem solving.Pragmatic, execution-oriented, and excited to engage at both architectural and operational depth.Proven ability to coach, inspire, and elevate technical teams through periods of rapid change.High integrity, resilience, and adaptability in dynamic, high-stakes environments.Strong track record managing multicultural engineering teams across Latin America.Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus.Location: LATAM Remote (preference for Bogota)
