Deputy General Manager

The Deputy General Manager is a senior operations leadership role responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational direction across all five manufacturing facilities of CROWN Food Packaging (Thailand) PLC. The Deputy GM will work collaboratively with the GM to ensure integrated business excellence, operational efficiency, and alignment with corporate strategic objectives.MULTI-PLANTS OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT Lead, develop, and oversee all five Plant ManagersProvide strategic direction and set clear expectations, accountability, and performance metricsConduct performance reviews, capability development, and succession planningEstablish corporate operational standards, policies, and procedures across all plantsMonitor aggregate facility performance metrics including production, quality, safety, and efficiencyIdentify and facilitate cross-facility improvement opportunities and best practice sharingAddress escalated operational issues and ensure consistency in operational excellence across all plantsDrive continuous improvement through Plant Manager leadershipSupport Plant Managers in achieving operational targets and improvement initiativesSUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT Serve as the leader and head of Supply Chain function company-wideEstablish and execute supply chain strategy aligned with corporate objectivesLead supply chain team including procurement, inventory management, and logisticsBuild and develop supply chain team capabilitiesEstablish company-wide procurement strategy, vendor management policies, and supply chain standardsDevelop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and logistics partnersOversee supplier selection, performance management, and strategic negotiationsManage strategic supplier agreements and contracts to optimize cost and qualityManage company-wide inventory optimization and logistics coordination across all plantsEnsure efficient supply chain execution, on-time material availability, and customer responsivenessMonitor supply chain performance metrics and implement improvement programsCoordinate supply chain support and execution with Plant Managers at each facilityEnsure supply chain resilience, business continuity planning, and facility operational supportRESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT Oversee company-wide R&D initiatives and new product development effortsProvide strategic direction for R&D activities aligned with corporate objectives and manufacturing capabilityReview R&D project progress, resource allocation, and outcomesLead cross-functional coordination between R&D, manufacturing, and other functionsEnsure manufacturing capability supports R&D initiatives and new productsCoordinate with Plant Managers on production trials and new product commercializationEnsure R&D projects are feasible for manufacturing implementation at facility levelSupport process improvement initiatives and knowledge transfer between R&D and manufacturing QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or related fieldMinimum 15 years progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations and solid understanding in commercial functionAt least 8 years in senior management roles with multi-plant responsibilityStrong background in food packaging, FMCG, or related manufacturing industriesExperience in production, quality systems, supply chain, engineering, and EHS functionsDeep understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and food safety regulationsKnowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologiesExperience with international quality standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, BRC)Understanding of Thai labor laws, environmental regulations, and safety standardsStrong leadership and people management capabilitiesExcellent communication skills in Thai and EnglishStrategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills Required SkillsLeadership in multi-plant operationsStrategic supply chain managementCross-functional team coordinationProcess improvement methodologiesExperience in food packaging and FMCG industriesKnowledge of international quality standardsProficiency in Thai and English communication
