Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking a dynamic and visionary Deputy Head of Physiotherapy Services to join our senior leadership team.The post holder will provide direct line management and support to a number of Physiotherapy Operational Managers as well as professional and clinical leads within the specialities delegated to this post.In conjunction with the Head of Physiotherapy Service the post holder will be responsible for maintaining effective and accountable structures to ensure compliance with clinical, managerial, risk and financial governance requirements across the physiotherapy service in ABUHB.We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced physiotherapy professional who can demonstrate:HCPC registration and a degree/diploma in Physiotherapy.Significant experience in physiotherapy management and leadership.Proven ability to lead service change, strategic planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration.Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.A commitment to clinical excellence, governance, and continuous professional development.Main duties of the jobAs Deputy Head of Physiotherapy Services, you will work alongside a second Deputy Head of Physiotherapy Services to provide strategic, professional, and operational leadership across a range of physiotherapy specialities delegated to this post. You will work closely with the Head of Physiotherapy Services, Clinical Directors, and other senior stakeholders to shape and deliver high-quality, patient-centred services aligned with ABUHB’s strategic goals.You Will Be Responsible ForLeading and managing designated portfolio areas within the physiotherapy service.Deputising for the Head of Physiotherapy Services across the Health Board.Ensuring compliance with clinical, managerial, risk, and financial governance.Driving service improvement, workforce development, and innovation.Representing the physiotherapy profession at internal and external forums, including national advisory groups.Working for our organisationAneurin Bevan University Health Board is a multi-award winning NHS organisation with a passion for caring.
