We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Research & Development to join our team and drive our product innovation and development efforts.Job Summary:The Head of Research & Development (R&D) will lead our R&D team, focusing on the development of new products, improvement of existing products, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of food science, a passion for innovation, and the ability to manage complex projects from concept to commercialization.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Strategy:Develop and implement R&D strategies aligned with the company’s goals and market trends.Lead, mentor, and manage the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Collaborate with senior management to define product development priorities and timelines.Product Development:Oversee the formulation and development of new food products, from ideation through to commercialization.Ensure all new products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.Conduct market research to identify consumer trends and opportunities for new product development.Process Improvement:Improve existing products and processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.Implement best practices in food technology and R&D methodologies.Utilize sensory evaluation and consumer feedback to refine product offerings.Collaboration & Communication:Work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Quality Assurance.Present research findings and product development progress to stakeholders.Build and maintain relationships with external partners, suppliers, and research institutions.Educational RequirementsBachelor of Science (BSc)B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Engineering, or related field from a reputed university.Minimum 5–8 years of experience in R&D, preferably in the biscuit, confectionery, or bakery industry.Skills Required: Business/ Product Development, Research, Market/ Consumer Research, Product Development, Research and DevelopmentExperience RequirementsAt least 8 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG),Multinational Companies,Food (Packaged)/Beverage,Food (Packaged),Bakery (Cake, Biscuit, Bread)Job LocationDhaka (Savar)
