Deputy Project Manager – Job DescriptionWorkplace: Saudi Arabia - Al- JoufOverviewThe Deputy Project Manager supports the Project Manager in planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and within scope and budget. This role acts as a key point of coordination across teams, helping manage day-to-day project operations, tracking progress, and ensuring that project objectives are met. The Deputy PM may also assume full responsibility for the project when the Project Manager is unavailable.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & CoordinationAssist in developing project plans, schedules, and resource allocationsCoordinate project activities and ensure tasks are completed according to timelinesMonitor project milestones and flag delays or risks earlyHelp maintain project documentation, including roadmaps, briefs, and reportsExecution & DeliverySupport cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project executionTrack deliverables and quality-check outputs before submissionFacilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, and document action itemsEnsure all team members understand their roles and responsibilitiesRisk, Issue & Change ManagementIdentify and assess project risks, dependencies, and blockersRecommend mitigation strategies and escalate issues when neededAssist in managing scope changes and updating project plans accordinglyStakeholder CommunicationServe as a secondary point of contact for internal and external stakeholdersProvide regular status updates and progress reportsEnsure effective communication flow across teamsBudget & Resource SupportHelp monitor project budgets and expendituresAssist in tracking resource utilization and capacity planningLeadership & Team SupportSupport the Project Manager in guiding team members and maintaining productivityFoster collaboration and help resolve team conflictsStep in for the Project Manager as necessaryQualificationsBachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or related field4-6 years of project coordination or project management experienceFamiliarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)Strong organizational and multitasking skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesProficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello, MS Project)Preferred SkillsProject Management certification (CAPM, PMP, or equivalent)Experience with cross-functional or technical teamsAbility to analyze data and generate insightsIdeal Candidate ProfileA proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and excels at supporting complex projects.
