Senior Derivatives Market Risk - Commodities Trading Budget approx 13k base ResponsibilitiesAnalyse Value-at-Risk movements daily, ensuring all position changes are reconciled and clearly explained in the context of market dynamics and trading strategies.Create analytical tools and quantitative models to capture exposure across assets, derivatives, and fixed commitments.Collaborate closely with global peers within the Risk function to maintain consistency in processes, methodologies, and controls.Use historical, scenario-based, and fundamental analysis to evaluate portfolio exposures and potential stress outcomes.Develop regional market risk analytics and contribute to the implementation of enhanced risk methodologies.Prepare and deliver daily and periodic risk reports, highlighting key exposures and providing insights into portfolio performance.Engage regularly with stakeholders across Front Office, Finance, Operations, IT, and Product Control to discuss trading strategies, risk positions, and mitigation actions.Identify embedded optionality and assess complex risk profiles of physical and derivative positions.Apply strong commercial understanding to interpret trading activity, providing insight into market drivers and business performance.Escalate and communicate material risks to senior management in a timely and structured manner.Ensure adherence to global market risk policies and governance frameworks within the region.Requirements7 years of experience in a commodities or financial trading environment, ideally in market risk, middle office, research, or trading.Strong understanding FX/Options markets, including both physical and derivatives trading.Solid grasp of market risk metrics such as Value-at-Risk, option sensitivities (Greeks), and price risk management.Comfortable working with large datasets and developing analytical tools using Excel; familiarity with R, Python, SQL, or C# is advantageous.Please email me your CV to nicola.clarke@keplersearch.comEA License no. 18S9419 | EA Personnel no.
