Design Coordinator

They’re a respected name within Tier 2 construction, known for their collaborative approach, modern systems, and strong repeat client base.With a healthy pipeline of projects and continued growth, they’re now looking to appoint an experienced Design Coordinator to join their pre-construction and delivery team on a $150m Mixed use project in the CBD.The RoleAs Design Coordinator, you’ll work closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and Consultants to help shape projects from early design through to construction. You’ll play a key role in ensuring buildability, compliance, and cost efficiency, bridging the gap between concept and delivery.Key responsibilities include:Working on a $150m Mixed-Use building in the CBD.Coordinating design documentation across all disciplines and stakeholders.Supporting early contractor involvement (ECI) and pre-construction planning.Reviewing drawings for buildability, risk, and value management opportunities.Working closely with consultants, clients, and authorities on permits and approvals.Assisting the estimating team with design reviews, scope development, and tender documentation.Ensuring design information aligns with project budgets, timelines, and delivery requirements.About YouYou’ll have local prior experience as a Design Coordinator, Project Engineer, or Project Coordinator within a commercial building environment, ideally with exposure to design management or pre-construction.We’re looking for:Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering.Strong understanding of design documentation and coordination processes.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.A proactive mindset with the ability to identify design and constructability issues early.Exposure to commercial, mixed-use, or residential projects.What’s on OfferJoin one of Melbourne’s leading Tier 2 builders with a strong reputation and stable pipeline.A company with a strong financial track record over 10+ years.Office based in the CBD.Modern systems and a supportive pre-construction environment.Work alongside experienced Senior PMs in the business who can support your growth.Genuine career progression towards Design Manager.Salary in the range of $110k - $180k package depending on experience.What to do nextClick apply, alternatively send your CV directly to will@trifecta.net.auIf you have more questions about the role please feel free to reach out on 0472 723 685
