Design Engineer

AuxiliaGroup Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer on behalf of our client, an established company within the engineering sector. This is a permanent opportunity based in Dublin. This role will offer a hybrid working model.Job Role:Design automation systems using CAD or similar design tools.Develop comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs) for procurement and assembly.Prepare technical drawings, inclusive of Fabrication drawings/ 3D models, and concept sketches.Conduct site visits to assess client needs, oversee installations, and validate specifications.Liaise with clients—understanding requirements, proposing design solutions, and guiding technical discussions.Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure designs are buildable, safe, and aligned with project aims.Support documentation, revisions, and quality-control throughout project lifecycle.Requirements:Proven experience in designing automation equipment (including conveyors, pneumatic systems, or mechanical machinery).Degree or relevant qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.Hands-on use of CAD or equivalent in project environments.Working knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic principles.Comfortable performing client-facing tasks — from technical discussions to site requirement assessments.Full, clean driving licenceValid working visa required.
