We empower people to unlock their potential so they can empower industries and communities to thrive, supporting initiatives that cultivate a more sustainable future.About the RoleDesign Engineer The Design Engineer at company, will play a crucial role in the design, development and optimization of mechanical components used in our cast-iron, aluminum castings, and sheet metal fabrication processes, due the expertise in mechanical design will be integral to ensuring the efficiency, precision, and cost-effectiveness of our production lines while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, procurement, marketing and project management, to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer specifications and industry standards. ResponsibilitiesCreate and improve designs for products, components, or mechanical systems using CAD software like CREO and Solid Edge. Supervise the creation of prototypes and ensure that design meets functional and performance requirements. Identify opportunities to improve existing designs for better performance, efficiency, manufacturability and cost reduction. Work with engineers from other fields such as electrical to ensure proper integration of mechanical designs into complex systems. Compliance with standards and regulations to ensure designs meet relevant safety, quality, and regulations within the industry.Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings specifications, user manuals, and other necessary data for manufacturing or customer details. Interface with new product development project teams to transition products into production. Coordinate activities related to design, manufacturing, and product delivery, ensuring lead time, budgets, and quality are met. Evaluating deviations caused by production issue, such as defects or non-conformities in manufacturing parts, the engineer ensures that any deviations are properly documented, assessed for impact on product quality and performance, and resolved in a timely manner to minimize production delays and ensure compliance with customer requirements.Apply the correct implementation of Geometric Dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) principles in all mechanical designs to guarantee precision in manufacturing and assembly processes.
