Te Whiwhinga mahi - The Opportunity We're looking for a Design Specialist to join our Design and Standards team.This role will advise on the design of safe, sustainable and integrated transportation solutions are in alignment with the required Design Standards and Auckland Transport objectives.It will help to ensure that Auckland Transport and 3rd party designs are in compliance with the Auckland Transport Design Standards and support the design and engineering needs of land use planning including large scale development and master planning, spatial growth areas, and resource consents.This permanent role offers the chance to contribute to AT's strategic goals and make a meaningful difference in how Auckland moves.Key Tasks will include:Assist Design & Standards operations in the design advice to the Auckland Transport Capital Programme.Undertake design compliance reviews of Auckland Transport projects for the Design Review Panel.Assist Design & Standards in the review of 3rd party designs via the Consent and Engineering Plan Approval processes.Undertake site visits with staff to expand you knowledge of the practical side of design and how it is applied in design and construction.Provide support to Design and Standards staff on various work, tasks and projects as requiredKo koe tēnei | About youA Design or Engineering Degree or a similar disciplineUp to 2 years experience in civil engineering or transport planningYou may have had 1 years experience as a graduate within a intern programme.Ko mātou tēnei | Our OrganisationAt Auckland Transport, people are at the heart of everything we do.
