Structural Engineer

About the roleDesigndevise Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in our Melbourne office. This is a full-time role that will see you play a key part in the design and delivery of complex civil and structural engineering projects. What you'll be doingUtilise advanced engineering principles and software tools to design and analyse structural systems, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry components.

Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and other technical documents outlining project requirements, design solutions, and recommendationsLiaise with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycleManage assigned projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standardsProviding site supervision and inspections as requiredContributing to the development of innovative engineering solutionsMentoring and supporting junior members of the engineering teamWhat we're looking forTertiary qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years' post-graduate experience in a similar structural engineering roleProficient in the use of structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, ClearCalcs, SpaceGass, Tekla structural Designer, Autodesk Robot, RAPT & ETABS and AutoCADStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creativelyExcellent time management, ability to manage multiple deadlinesAbility to work collaboratively within a teamDemonstrated experience in delivering high-quality engineering solutionsCurrent registration as a Member of the Institute of Engineers Australia (MIEAust) and working toward or eligible for Chartered Engineer status (Engineers AustraliaAdvanced ability to interpret the requirements of Australian standards and building codes, design in accordance with AS1170.
