We are a best-of-breed contractor with a stellar reputation in our field.Our craftsmen bring ideas to life – creating stone environments of unmatched quality, durability, and beauty.Our mission is to provide an environment of success where you can grow and reach your full potential.The right candidate will be working with a highly talented and dedicated group of people whose values include teamwork, innovation, and resiliency.We are looking for a hardworking and dependable individual to become a member of our team as a Designer for Vein Matching.Vein-matching is the practice of laying out pieces of stone digitally, so that the veins of the stone match from one piece to the next in such a way as to create a continuity in the overall layout.Your work product will be reviewed by some of the most prestigious architects, designers, and brands in the world.We offer a salary starting at $25.00 per hour, (commensurate with your experience) as well as a generous benefits package.Your Responsibilities will include:Managing the photographing and inventory of stone slabs for each projectCompliance to inventory system and making slab labels for photographingMonitoring photographing, quality control of photos, troubleshootingMaintenance of inventory from beginning to completion of each projectStone layoutsSetting up AutoCAD files received from the drafter to be compatible for import into Slabsmith vein-matching program Compiling and understanding directives from client and/or architectural drawings on the desired layout/aesthetic of the stoneNesting stone pieces drawn in AutoCAD onto slabs photographed in Slabsmith program to generate a virtual layout of the job that achieves the desired aesthetic of the clientCompiling submittal package of stone layout for submittal to clientRectifying stone layout to client comments and final field dimensionsFabrication packageCompiling package for fabrication shop consisting of Slabsmith generated stone layout and AutoCAD generated fabrication “slab ticket” drawingsBasic understanding of stone fabrication procedure to provide appropriate instructions for each jobCoordination with project managerSkills:Basic knowledge/proficiency in AutoCADAbility to learn new computer programs and understand basic processes of stone fabrication Basic Microsoft Excel skillsBasic Adobe Photoshop skills are a plus but not necessaryAbility to read architectural drawingsHigh attention to detailAn artistic sense of design aesthetics, patterns, colorsPowered by JazzHRrXZz9ZyAse
