Job Title: Desktop Support Level 1 – FTE Backfill Location: Vienna, Austria Position Type: Full-Time (FTE Backfill) Start Date: [Insert Start Date or ASAP]Job Summary:We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Desktop Support Level 1 technician to provide first-line technical assistance to users in a fast-paced corporate environment. This is a full-time backfill position based onsite in Vienna, Austria, supporting day-to-day IT operations and end-user device troubleshooting.Key Responsibilities:Provide first-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and standard office software (Windows, MS Office, etc.).Log and track all incidents and service requests in the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral devices.Perform basic network troubleshooting (e.g., LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity issues).Assist with user account management (e.g., password resets, profile setups).Support AV/VC systems for meetings and events as needed.Coordinate with second- and third-level support teams to escalate unresolved issues.Follow standard operating procedures and contribute to documentation updates.Provide hands-on support for device refreshes, software rollouts, or project-based activities.Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and local regulations.Required Qualifications:Proven experience in a Level 1 Desktop Support or Service Desk role (1–2 years minimum).Good understanding of Windows 10/11 OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic IT troubleshooting techniques.Familiarity with Active Directory, ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy), and remote support tools.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).Preferred Qualifications:ITIL Foundation certification or basic understanding of ITIL practices.Experience in enterprise environments or global companies.Basic knowledge of mobile device management (e.g., Intune, AirWatch).EU work authorization or eligibility to work in Austria without sponsorship.
