This is a key role in Human Resource function at Deutsche Bank Korea. The primary responsibility is to support Korea HR Operations including payroll, Compensation & Benefit, HCM data management, analytics and reporting, to ensure adherence to the internal policies and relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, and to support the delivery of people strategies and priorities through the operations’ activities in close partnership with HR Business Partners and Advisors. This role is responsible for the full spectrum of payroll processes, benefits administration, payroll-related accounts balance reconciliation, and various employment-related taxes and tax reporting. Ensure stable day-to-day operations including the payroll processes, payroll reports and analytics, reconciliations etc. Collect, validate, and consolidate monthly payroll data such as attendance (leaves, sick days, Leave of absence (LOA), fixed/variable pay items, and severance pay ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Collaborate with external payroll vendors to ensure accurate payroll processing, tax calculations, etc.
Ensure payroll accounting, including the posting of monthly payroll journals, compensation accruals and other payroll related accounting entries, review, and reconcile payroll accountsMaintain and drive key relationships with vendors including vendor governance and payment, and meeting performance standards in relation to agreed Service Level Agreements to maintain the operational accuracy, efficiency, and service quality. Prepare for the payments on various HR/Staff related expensesCompensation and Benefits support: Support management of employee benefits programs (health, welfare, insurance, retirement, and etc) in compliance with local law and global firm policy.
Responsible for statutory insurances and taxes enrolment, termination, monthly filing, and reconciliation and statutory deductions. Process the corporate pension plans with regards to the enrolment and termination, and the regular payment of contributions to the plan administrator/custodian. Support benefit packages, visa and other related activities for the international transfers and expatriatesYear-end compensation process - Supports local HR/HRBPs and businesses providing relevant documents and supporting data verification when needed. Regulatory matters support: Support governance requirements (internal and regulatory) including tracking regulatory changes and driving internal policy / process changes. Responsible for all regulatory and internal management reporting including regular and ad hoc regulatory requests and enquiries, regulatory surveys, and disclosures. Support internal and external audits related to HR Operations and Payroll. Other HR operations:
As BCP coordinator, develop and maintain the Business Contingency Plan and manage HR’s business continuity management strategy and activitiesManages the effective delivery of the onshore activities including employees’ life-cycle requests/ letters, archiving of documents and other local processesEnsure the maintenance of the inventory of HR internal policies/ key operating documents. Skills/Knowledge/Experience: Min 5 years’ experience in a similar role, in a multinational bank or financial services organizationWorking knowledge on Korea labour as well as financial laws and regulations. Working knowledge of Workday or other HR systems preferred.
