Job DescriptionAbout the Position: We are looking for an innovative and driven Data Scientist to join our Security Operations Center Technology (SOCT) squad at DT Technik. In this role, you will apply advanced data science techniques to enhance your organization's security posture and protect against evolving cyber threats. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a completely new task within the team, working closely with the cybersecurity team.

You will lead the effort to design and implement a machine learning models from the ground up, aimed at identifying anomalies in log data and inventory databases to detect security threats. This position is ideal for an experienced Data Scientist who is eager to take ownership of building new solutions, even if prior experience in the security field is not required. Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement machine learning models to analyze large datasets and identify patternsDevelop algorithms to flag potential security issues and anomalies in log data and inventory databasesCollaborate with cybersecurity teams (Security Analysts and Engineers) to ensure the models and algorithms align with operational needs and to integrate data-driven solutions into existing security infrastructureDesign and maintain data pipelines for processing security-related informationConduct research on emerging threats and develop innovative approaches to address themOptimize and automate security processes using data science techniquesProvide technical expertise and support for security incident investigationsUtilize tools and platforms such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Elastic Stack, Trellix Intrusion Detection SystemDocument workflows, models, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibilityQualificationsRequired Skills:

Studies in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field3+ years of experience in data science or a related field, (preferably with a focus on security applications)Advanced Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniquesProficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or JavaExpertise in supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniquesExperience with neural networks and deep learning frameworksExperience with big data technologies (e. g. , Hadoop, Spark)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsBasic Knowledge: Linux and Windows operating system basicsNetworking fundamentalsOptional Skills:
