Devops Architect (Java)

We're a hundred and one free spirits, spread between Geneva, Zurich and Marseille, working together to revolutionize the information systems of our banking, industrial and government customers. 🚀We are hiring a talented Devops Architect (Java expert) to work in Geneva.ResponsibilitiesEnsure micro-service reliability, make technical architecture decisions and handle deployment up to production.Work in tandem with Business Analysts and Solution Architects to continuously improve applications & APIs.Collaborate with 3rd party software vendors to integrate, support and maintain new components.Partner with software engineers on all development-related tasks for applications & APIs.Promote code to production, pushing for maximum automation without compromising quality.Set up advanced analytics and monitoring, providing prescriptive and predictive insights.Write code for configuration and security components.Diagnose production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and propose solutions with the cross-functional team.Provide continuous guidance to software engineers on operational challenges (reliability, manageability).Promote data-driven decision-making and identify key metrics.QualificationsSubstantial experience with Java (Spring, JVM) and related technologies.Strong expertise with REST APIs (design, versioning, maintenance) and networking.Experience with reverse proxies (e.g. Apache).Proficiency in SQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle).Hands-on experience with build pipelines, Java delivery & deployment to Linux/Kubernetes.Deep knowledge of software engineering (development, maintenance, improvement).Open-minded, team-oriented, capable of working independently with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Nice to have:Interest in finance / financial knowledge.Knowledge of OIDC / OAuth 2.0 authentication protocols.Experience with TLS/SSL, encryption, firewalls, network security.Knowledge of containers & orchestrators (Docker, Kubernetes).Proficiency in Python, Bash scripting.Experience with automation / Infrastructure as Code (Puppet, XaaS).Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch).Experience with Agile methodologies.Role conditions:📍Geneva⏰ ASAP📚 English fluent / Français courant📌 Swiss residency or relocation requiredIn order to obtain a valid Swiss work permit, we can only consider EU nationalities or Swiss citizenship for this role.Why choose TechFirm?TechFirm is committed to local players and associations (sponsor of DevOps Days, JavaUser Group, Meet Up, Glisse en cœur and Les Sommets).When you join TechFirm, you'll benefit from real support from a team dedicated to helping you achieve your full potential.
