Orca Maritime Tools is a leading company that creates highly sought-after products for the maritime industry.We’re looking for a curious and motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team. You’ll help build, maintain, and automate the infrastructure and developer tools that keep our engineering teams productive and our systems reliable.You’ll gain hands-on experience with modern DevOps practices—working in the AWS Cloud, managing infrastructure with OpenTofu/Terraform, automating CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, and building tools that empower developers to deliver faster and more confidently.What You’ll DoSupport the design, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure in AWSDefine infrastructure as code using OpenTofu or TerraformBuild and maintain Docker images and containerized environmentsDevelop and optimize CI/CD pipelines in JenkinsAutomate repetitive tasks and create internal tools that improve developer efficiencyMonitor systems and troubleshoot issues in collaboration with the engineering teamWrite documentation and contribute to process improvements in DevOps workflowsSupport database operations (PostgreSQL) - dump/restore, access control, maintenance. Required:Basic knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.)Familiarity with Docker and containerization conceptsExperience (academic, personal, or professional) with Terraform or OpenTofuUnderstanding of CI/CD concepts and exposure to Jenkins or similar toolsComfort with Linux, shell scripting, and GitInterest in automation, developer tooling, and improving workflowsNice to Have:Experience with Python, Bash, or another scripting language for automationExposure to monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)Understanding of networking, IAM, and security best practicesFamiliarity with Agile development and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)Basic knowledge of database concepts and SQL Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (subnets, gateways, DNS, NAT, etc.)What We Offer:Competitive salary with a comprehensive benefits package.A dynamic and supportive work environment that encourages creativity and fosters professional growth.If you have what it takes, send your CV to welisten@orca.tools or apply directly here.
