DevOps Engineer

Job DescriptionVitus Commodities trades actively in electricity and natural gas contracts across European markets. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our expanding team. The role involves maintaining, automating, and enhancing production environments that support our trading systems. The position requires close collaboration with traders and software developers to ensure stability, reliability, and performance in real-time trading operations.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and improve production infrastructure supporting trading systemsAutomate operational workflows and deployment processesEnsure stability and performance of live trading environmentsProvide hands-on support for real-time systemsIdentify bottlenecks and continuously improve system reliabilityCollaborate closely with traders and developers to resolve time-sensitive technical issuesContribute to monitoring, incident response, and operational best practicesQualificationsProven experience as a DevOps Engineer in a production environmentMandatory experience within energy, commodities, power trading, or financial trading environmentsStrong hands-on experience with Linux-based systemsSolid scripting experience for automation and system toolingExperience supporting real-time or latency-sensitive systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to operate effectively under pressure in fast-paced environmentsExcellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyIf you are passionate about the energy sector and have the skills and experience we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
