Our team combines innovation, expertise, and passion to reshape the future of banking in Iraq.Join us and be part of building the next generation of digital banking.Position: DevOps OfficerPosition Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Application Manager to provide critical support, integration, and administration for our core banking applications and databases. In this role, you will ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of our Core Banking System (CBS), digital channels, payment platforms, and associated databases. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical expertise in banking systems, database management, and modern DevOps practices.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide advanced L2 and L3 technical support for critical banking applications, including CBS, digital platforms, and payment systems.Conduct root cause analysis, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure timely resolution to minimize business impact.Manage and maintain CBS-related databases (Oracle, MS SQL and PostgreSQL), ensuring performance, backups, recovery, and security.Optimize database queries, monitor storage, and implement disaster recovery procedures.Apply security patches, manage user access, and ensure compliance with central bank regulations.Design, develop, and manage robust API integrations between CBS, external gateways, and third-party systems.Work with middleware and microservices architectures to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability.Support end-to-end application and database release management using CI/CD pipelines.Utilize Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes to automate deployments, patches, and upgrades.Promote DevOps best practices to improve deployment reliability and speed.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineer, or related field.4+ years’ experience in application support, banking systems, or database management.Experience supporting Core Banking Systems like (ICS, T24), digital channels, or payment systems.Preferred Technical SkillsStrong SQL/database skills (Oracle, PostgreSQL) with performance tuning and backup/recovery experience.Hands-on scripting experience (Shell, Python, Bash) for automation and troubleshooting.Experience with DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP, middleware, and microservices architecture.
