Job Description

This is not a remote position (100% in office)DFB Sales is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Account Payable and Purchasing Assistant to join team at the Long Island City, NY location. The ideal candidate will have experience in vendor payments, purchasing, and general accounting functions, with proficiency in Epicor 9. 11 or a similar ERP system. Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate records of all vendor payments. Process and record all invoices in a timely and precise manner. Create and manage Purchase Orders in the system. Evaluate and approve new vendors and establish vendor accounts as needed.

Communicate regularly with vendors regarding pricing, orders, deliveries, and payment issues. Perform weekly job cost postings. Reconcile vendor accounts and monthly statements to resolve discrepancies. Coordinate invoice payments, including sending reminders and following up with clients. Generate reports on accounts payable status and related financial data. Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (W-9s, sales tax). QualificationsPrior experience in vendor payments, purchasing, and general accounting functions with proficiency in Epicor 9. 11 or a similar ERP system. Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable. Strong organizational and communication skills. High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
