Job Description

Dieterich Bank is looking for an Assistant Branch Manager to join our team at our Waterloo-Downtown branch. Assistant Branch Managers are the first line of assistance to the front-line retail banking staff. This position is responsible for building loyalty to the organization, training, and overseeing front-line tasks. Assistant Branch Managers are responsible for addressing compliance and task-related performance issues by offering assistance, retraining, and oversight as necessary. They gladly perform front-line duties as needed and in a manner that consistently models Dieterich Bank's standards of superior quality and service and are fully compliant with industry regulations. Essential Duties: Train employees on all front-line tasks. Contribute to the performance appraisal process of front-line staff by providing input to the Branch Manager as needed. Demonstrate the ability to independently make and communicate sound decisions based upon Bank policies, knowledge, and experience. Verify that all policies and procedures are followed and that the risk of fraud is minimized.

Support the business development and community involvement of every Dieterich Bank representative in regard to staffing, coverage, etc. Recommend new products/services, systems/policies, etc. to improve Bank performance. Ensure that Bank policies and procedures as well as industry regulations are met. Exercise good judgment and be alert to possible fraud. Craft a culture that includes a positive work atmosphere of mutual respect. Manage multiple tasks and respond to pressure and change with poise and confidence. Support the Retail Banking Manager on reaching performance goals both individually and at the branch level.

Assist other branches as needed for staffing which may include travel. Maintain confidentiality of customer and employee information. Work Schedule: This position requires 40 hours each week with a Saturday rotation based on the needs of the branch. Education and Experience: Associates degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service with banking experience being a plus, but not requiredPerks of the job:
