Job Description

Main PurposeThe Digital Communications Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and management of the Country Road Group digital communications strategy to support brands' positioning, brand awareness and business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the development and implementation of CRG brands' digital communications strategy.Plan, manage and execute digital communications objectives to drive CRG brands' positioning, awareness, increase audience engagement, and reach new audiences through our digital media channels and campaigns.Manage day-to-day digital content production, copy, and visual assets across all our channelsUnderstand and interpret local market trends to develop and deliver locally tailored digital content plans for the brand's digital media channelsTranslate CRG brands strategy into a Digital and Communications planWork closely with the brand managers and Media/PR agency to deliver innovative ways of executing the brand strategies and campaigns, and integrate customer insights in the development of the integrated marketing and communication plan.Leverage Google Analytics and digital analysis to conduct PIR’s, specific reports and interpret results, make recommendations to improve content and channel planning activityDrive the execution of the digital communication plan timeouslyDeliver an integrated digital communications brief, engaging with key stakeholders within CRG RSA and AU marketingBudget and commercial managementManage and maintain annual brand budget for the given area of responsibility when applicableManage all budget reconciliations to achieve the overall planPeople and stakeholder managementBuild and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including AU Marketing Teams, WSA Stakeholders, Agencies, VM, Online and TradeKey CompetenciesTechnical Skills/ExperienceRelevant diploma or degree in brand marketingBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or another relevant fieldAt least 5-7 years of experience in a digital communications role, preferably in Retail / Brands / Agency/PRExtensive knowledge of paid media, social media, SEO, content marketing and other digital marketing channels and tactics.Experience with the use of analytical and reporting tools, such as Google Analytics and Social Media Analytics.Proficiency with tools like CMS programs, Design Software (Adobe Creative Cloud), or Salesforce Marketing CloudA thorough understanding of best practice principles and technology enablers in relation to digital communications and digital communications trends360 digital media understanding and ability to brief a creative agencyAnalytical skills to interpret Customer data and insights and sales and turnover and then translate this into digital communication strategies and operational plansCompetencies and behavioursPassion for retail (specifically fashion), the CRG product, brand, and customersManage relationships with Media and Digital agenciesCreative thinker and ability to evaluate creative workCollaborative team player: willing to work cooperatively with others, within a team, and across departments, towards a common objectivePlanning, organizing and prioritizing skillsAbility to understand local and international trends and stays up to date with the competitor landscapeStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenLeadership, mentor to the team driving the right culture and behavioursAgility, adaptive, and flexible in your approach to workInfluencing and negotiating skillsAs a proudly South African brand, Woolworths is committed to transformation.
