Provide technical advice and assistance in the investigation of digital crime and incidentsAs Digital Media Investigator you will support investigations of digital crime and produce written ‘Digital and Technology’ strategies to guide investigators across Leicestershire Police.Currently the Digital Media Investigation Unit operates between 07:00 and 18:00 hrs Monday to Friday; and 08:00 to 16:00 on Saturday, these hours may be subject to change to meet demand. There will also be a requirement to perform on-call duties once fully trained.What You’ll Be DoingUndertake examination and extractions of data from electronic devicesPrepare reports and statements in respect of completed cases and attend courtDesign and develop ongoing change programmes to enhance the forces response to Digital Policing through the development of new practices and protocolsThe must havesA relevant degree or relevant experience of working to this levelProficiency using a wide range of key technologies relating to extracting and reviewing data in a digital forensic environmentAbility to deal professionally with images/videos and audio of an unpleasant and/or disturbing natureExperience of critical thinking and decision making whilst under pressureWhat’s in it for you?
