Data Center EngineerLocation: Berlin, GermanySalary Range: €50,000 – €55,000A global technology solutions provider with over 30 years of industry experience is seeking a Data Centre Engineer/Workplace Technologies Support (WTS) Engineer to join their Berlin-based team. This company specialises in delivering comprehensive connectivity and infrastructure services, from structured cabling to fully managed IT solutions, supporting clients across multiple sectors. Role OverviewAs a Workplace Technologies Support Engineer, you will be on the frontline of delivering high-quality IT support services, including IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change), decommissions, and incident management. The role involves a mix of hands-on technical tasks, project support, and coordination with internal teams and external vendors. Working Hours: 09: 00 – 17: 00 (Monday to Friday) On-site presence requiredShift work or on-call support may be required (to be agreed upon as needed)Key ResponsibilitiesManage and deliver mid-sized IT infrastructure projectsEscort and coordinate with third-party vendorsBuild, rack, and connect network/server hardware in data centre environmentsMonitor and resolve tickets using ITSM platforms (e.

g. , ServiceNow)Perform break-fix tasks on network hardware (e. g. , HDD, SSD, power supplies, memory, NICs)Conduct testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting of copper and fibre cablingExecute all types of patching (data, voice, copper, fibre)Configure static IP addresses and ILO on serversMaintain cable management systems and update documentationProvide weekly status reports and maintain inventory of cables and opticsManage shipments, RMAs, and maintain cleanliness and order in storage areasIdeal Experience & SkillsEssential:

Previous experience in a corporate IT or financial services environmentStrong understanding of Workplace Technology services (IMAC/D, cabling, decommissions)Skilled in structured cabling and fault diagnosis using test equipmentProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure settingStrong multitasking, prioritisation, and organisational skillsFamiliarity with asset management and IT ticketing systemsExperience with change management and IT service delivery processesAbility to mentor and onboard junior team membersDesirable (but not required):

COMPTIA Server+ / Network+BICSI Technician TrainingCDCTP®, CDCMP® or other data centre certificationsCisco CCNA (Data Centre track)ITIL® Foundation certificationIf you have a hands-on technical background and thrive in a fast-paced, structured environment, this role could be a great fit.
